The TAKeOFF Consortium, involving partners from Germany, Ghana, Tanzania, and Cameroon, held a 2-day Policy Brief Workshop on 24th January and 15th February 2024. The workshop, facilitated by our partners at NIMR, Tanzania, through the Tanzanian Ministry of Health, provided a valuable opportunity for scientists and students to develop skills in creating policy brief documents based on their research, as well as evidence from systematic reviews and other research outputs.

Drafting policy brief documents and making them available to relevant authorities helps translate research findings into actionable policies, ultimately benefiting the communities the research is intended to serve. As a result of the workshop, several policy briefs have been drafted and are in the process of being published, with plans to engage relevant stakeholders in policy dialogues.
