TAKeOFF Tanzania attends NIMR Annual Joint Scientific Conference in Dar es Salaam

The TAKeOFF Project made a notable appearance at the 32nd Annual Joint Scientific Conference, a prestigious gathering in the realm of health research, organized by the National Institute for Medical Research (NIMR). This landmark event took place from May 14th to 16th, 2024, at the Julius Nyerere International Convention Centre in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. In a compelling address, Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Doto Biteko, representing Vice President Dr. Philip Mpango, emphasized the Tanzanian government’s commitment to research as a cornerstone of advancement. He articulated that research infuses plans with purpose and drives development. Celebrating the role of innovative scientific inquiry in combating diseases, Dr. Biteko underscored the necessity for research endeavors to span multiple sectors, reflecting a holistic approach to health challenges.
