MASTER STUDENTS - 2 Positions
The management of the Kumasi Centre for Collaborative Research into Tropical Medicine (KCCR) together with the Filariasis project at KCCR is looking for 2 Master’s students. The project, titled “Tackling the Obstacles to Fight Filarial infections and podoconiosis (TAKeOFF-2)” is funded by the German Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). The project seeks to address the barriers to lymphatic filariasis (LF) and podoconiosis elimination in addition to providing innovative and valuable insights into other disease conditions such as onchocerciasis.

- QUALIFICATIONS/PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
- The Post holder should have the following: (E = Essential; D = Desirable)
The candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in medical Laboratory Technology, Biology or another related scientific/biomedical field (E).
The candidates must have good writing and presentation skills (E).
The successful applicant should be prepared to work in any part of the country and for longer hours (E).
Must be a team player and have good interpersonal working relationship (D).
Must be able to work under pressure (D).
The use of statistical analysis packages such as SPSS or other relevant statistical analysis tools will be added advantage (D).
The contract will be for a period of 2 years
Expected starting date: 1st October, 2023
